Join us March 20-25, 2020, for a magical six-day, five-night Journey to Mexico that will allow you to get away from the chaos of the city and freezing temperatures, relax, and be in contact with the roots of food and life in the countryside. We will stay at Hacienda San Andres, only one hour from Mexico City.
At Hacienda San Andres we will enjoy farm-to-table cooking; a mixture of the knowledge of resident Chef Marco Margain and local cuisine. They use traditional techniques; they seek to exalt the ingredients, which they grow, care for and harvest themselves. If they don’t grow and harvest it themselves, it’s mostly their neighbors and friends who do it in nearby lands.
During our journey we will go on a guided hike to National Park Izta-Popo, home to Mexico’s second and third highest peaks, the Iztaccíhuatl and Popocatépetl volcanoes. Accompanied by an experienced local guide, we will hike through two beautiful passes, small roads and gaps that will take us from Dos Aguas to Los Diamantes Waterfalls.
